Executive Summary 执行摘要

The success of Air New Zealand is influenced by different internal and external factors. The internal factors include its values and guiding principles, organisational cultures and its use of technology. These factors not only impact its management of human resources but also its activities such as engagement in research and development. The external factors, which include competitors, technology and the political, legal and regulatory factors, also influence the decision that this company makes with respect to its operations, human resource management, investment in research and development, as well as market-related decision such as sales and marketing strategies. Apart from these, it is expected that Air New Zealand operate under the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. Speaking from this perspective, this report recommends that Air New Zealand should integrate this treaty’s principles namely partnership, participation and protection in its operations and organisational culture, thus ensuring that it fosters a lasting relationship with all its stakeholders.
